Kyrgyzstan is known for its beautiful landscapes with the high mountains and breathtaking alpine lakes. During this tour  you will see all the highlights. The views on our way are absolutely stunning. The road wounds up and down several mountain passes above 3500 meter, before opening out to the green pastures where shepherds herding their flock. You will visit Lake Son Kul, famous by locals and foreigners for its beautiful location and travel around Lake Issyk-Kul, the second largest alpine lake of the world! Furthermore you will visit the caravanserai in Tash Rabat, spend a few nights in a yurt and get acquaintance with the traditions, handicrafts and national food.

DAY 1 AIRPORT - BISHKEK (40 km/ 40 min)

Upon arrival at Manas Airport meet with a guide and transfer to Bishkek city.

Standard check-in after 14:00.

Sightseeing tour of Bishkek: Kyrgyz State National University, Youth Alley, Kyrgyz National Grand Philharmonic Hall, Statue of Manas and Manaschi, Victory square, Opera and Ballet Theater, Oak Park, Old Square, Ala-Too Main Square, Open air Art gallery. Overnight in the hotel.

Excursion to Osh Bazaar: fruits, dry fruits and souvenirs sections.

Dinner at local café.

Overnight at hotel.

Meals: no.

Lunch and dinner independently.

 

DAY 2 BISHKEK – CHON KEMIN (150 km, 2.5 h)

After breakfast depart to Chon-Kemin Valley.

On the way, visit Burana Tower, a small nearby Museum and open air Balbals (stone figures).

Lunch in Tokmok.

Upon arrival to Kalmak-Ashuu village – accommodation at Ashu guest house.

In the afternoon, hiking towards the gorge.

Walking excursion around the village and introduce with countryside life and its inhabitants.

Lunch and dinner at the guest house terrace on the second floor that has a superb view to surrounding mountains and village.

Overnight at guesthouse.

Meals: Breakfast at hotel.

Lunch at guesthouse.

Dinner at guesthouse.

 

DAY 3  CHON KEMIN – JETY OGUZ (330 km, 6  hrs)

After breakfast depart to Jeti-Ogyz Valley through the north shore of the Issyk-Kul Lake.

On the way visit open air Petroglyphs Museum and Rukh-Ordo Cultural Complex in Cholpon-Ata town.

Upon arrival to Karakol, short sightseeing tour and afterwards visit shop One village – One product local souvenir shop – food and wool products made by local women.

Arrival to Jeti-Ogyz Valley, accommodation at yurt camp in Kok-Jayik jailoo (summer pasture).

Dinner and overnight at yurt camp.

Meals: Breakfast at homestay.

Lunch in Cholpon-Ata.

Dinner at yurts.

 

DAY 4  JETY OGUZ- SONG-KUL (384 km, 6 hr)

After breakfast depart to Son-Kol Lake through the south shore of the Issyk-Kul Lake.

En route visiting Skazka canyons.

Upon arrival to Kochkor village short visit to a local women’s handicraft’s shop Altyn-Kol (Golden Hands).

Continue driving and upon arrival to Son-Kol Lake, accommodation at yurt camp.

Meals: Breakfast at yurts.

Lunch in Kochkor.

Dinner at yurts.

 

DAY 5  SONKUL

The whole day to explore Sonkul lake: hiking is available.

Overnight at yurt camp.

Meals: Breakfast at yurts.

Lunch at Yurts.

Dinner at yurts.

 

DAY 6 SONKUL - TASHRABAT (281 km, 5 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Tash-Rabat. On the way, stop at Naryn town for lunch at a local café.

Upon arrival Tash-Rabat, accommodation at yurt camp.

Meals: Breakfast at yurts.

Lunch en route.

Dinner at yurts.

 

DAY 7   TASHRABAT – EKI NARYN - NARYN  (215 km, 4 hrs)

Excursion to Historical Tash-Rabat Caravansarai. This is a carefully restored stone building that once housed an inn on the Great Silk Road. Its date of origin is a complete mystery; however, there is archaeological evidence to suggest that the site was occupied in the 10th century.

After lunch at a yurt camp depart to Naryn via visiting Eki-Naryn Valley. Overnight at guest house in Naryn.

Meals: Breakfast at yurts.

Lunch at yurts.

Dinner at guesthouse.

 

DAY 8   NARYN - KAZARMAN (200 km, 3.5 hrs)

Whole day drive to Kazarman – small village on the way to Osh.

Upon arrival, accommodation at a local family’s house/home stay.

Meals: Breakfast at guesthouse.

Lunch at homestay.

Dinner at homestay.

 

DAY 9    KAZARMAN – OSH (250 km, 4.5 hr)

Whole day drive to Osh.

Overnight at Hotel.

Meals: Breakfast and lunch.

Dinner independently.

 

DAY 10   OSH

Whole day introduction tour of the city: excursion to Holy Sulaiman Mountain with a stone cave, from there climb up to Babur’s Mausoleum and decent to visit the Silk-Road Museum.

After independent lunch visit to famous Osh Bazaar to see local traders selling and buying products.

Dinner at a local Uzbek family’s house.

Overnight at homestay.

Meals: Breakfast at homestay. Dinner at Uzbek family.

Lunch independently.

 

DAY 11   OSH - ARSLANBAP (180 km, 3 hrs)

Depart to Arslanbap, a popular place for its well-known walnut forest.

On the way, stop in Uzgen city to visit Uzgen Minaret and Mausoleum.

Upon arrival to Arslanbap, accommodation at a local family run guest house/home stay.

Afternoon walking excursion to walnut forest.  This is the largest walnut forest (700 000 hectares) in the world and one of the most amazing places in Kyrgyzstan. Scientists claim that the age of the forest exceed 50 million years. In this vast territory grow numerous walnut trees, pistachios, almonds, cherry plums, pears and many others. The total number of plant species growing here exceeds 130. The age of some walnut trees exceeds 1000 years and each one can bring from 150 to 400 kilograms of nuts every year.

DAY 12  ARSLANBAP - TOKTOGUL (320 km, 6 hr)

On the way to Toktogul, pass through Tash-Komur Hydro-Electric Station and Toktogul water-reservoir.

Arrival to Tokotogul. Dinner and overnight at home stay.

Meals: Breakfast at homestay.

Lunch.

Dinner at homestay.

 

DAY 13   TOKTOGUL – BISHKEK (270 km/ 5 h)

The road to Bishkek is one of the most picturesque; the road goes along the Chu river and different sceneries: from snowy capped mountains, to beautiful gorges and flat valleys.

The highest altitude reaches 3586m where nomads herd their livestock. 

Lunch at Suusamyr valley in Baytur guest house.

Upon arrival to Bishkek accommodation at hotel.

Evening free time and independent dinner. 

Overnight at Hotel.

Meals: Breakfast at homestay. Lunch.

Dinner independently.

 

DAY 14   BISHKEK - MANAS AIRPORT (40 km/ 40 min)

After breakfast transfer with driver only to Manas airport for departure flight to home country (Check out by 12:00).

  • Accommodation conditions at yurt camp are very traditional, meaning that person will be able to share toilet outsde of the yurt and be able to experience Kyrgyz rural lifestyle firsthand.
  • CBT* - Community Based Tourism Assiciation, family run guest houses.
  • Staying in yurts and guest houses is in basic condition, room/yurta will be shared with 3-5 pax and washrom/shower facilities located outside of the room.
