ITINERARY

D-01 TASHKENT

Arrival of the clients at Tashkent International Airport by TK-368 flight from Istanbul at 06:30am. Meet and transfer to hotel (early check-in after 07:00am is included).  PM. Half day city tour of Tashkent.  Visit Khastimom complex (Kaffal Shashiy Masoleum, Barak Khan Medressah, Library with holy Koran), Kukaldosh Medressah, Chorsu Bazaar, Applied Arts Museum, Independence Square. Overnight at Hotel.

Meals: Early breakfast at Hotel.

D-02  TASHKENT-NUKUS (by air)

After early breakfast transfer to airport for morning HY-011 (07:10-09:45) flight to Nukus. Upon arrival start full day city tour of Nukus: visit Karakalpakstan Art Museum named after Igor Savitskiy The Savitsky Museum's collection possesses over 90,000 exhibits, including a collection of Russian avant-garde artists, the art of ancient Khorezm, complemented by excellent copies of some exhibits of Louvre in Paris. According to experts, collection of the museum is the best art collections in the Asian region and has the world's second-largest collection of Russian avant-garde. British newspaper The Guardian called the museum "one of the outstanding museums in the world”. Then visit Gaurkala ruins and Mizdakhan ruins too.  Overnight at Hotel.

D-03  NUKUS-MOYNAK-NUKUS (220 km, one way)

After breakfast daytrip to Moynak, a small town once used to be main fish industrial town, nowadays more than 150 km far located from real Aral Sea water shores. In Muynak town to have a look at the former port with abandoned ships in the sand – “Cemetery of ships”. In Muynak, visit Local History Museum dedicated to the disaster of the Aral Sea. Picnic lunch or lunch at guesthouse in Muynak. Drive back to Nukus. Overnight at Hotel.

D-04  NUKUS-CHILPAK –AYAZKALA/TOPRAKKALA (150 km)- KHIVA (90 km)

After breakfast drive to Khiva via Chilpak ruins (Zoroastrian temple “Tower of Silence”), Ayazkala and Toprakkala ruins. Overnight at Hotel.

D-05  KHIVA

After breakfast start full day city tour of Ichankala (inner town). Visit Kalta Minar, Muhammad Aminkhan Medressah, Kunya Ark, Muhammad Rakhimkhan Medressah, Juma Mosque and Minaret, Pahlavan Mahmud Masoleum, Islamkhodja Medressah, Toshhovli Palace, Allakulikhan Medressah and Ceravanserai. Overnight at Hotel.

D-06  KHIVA – BUKHARA (480 km, 8-9 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Bukhara via Kizilkum desert. En route photo  stop at Amu Darya river bank. Overnight at Hotel.

D-07  BUKHARA

After breakfast full day city tour of Bukhara. Visit Samanid’s Mausoleum, Chashma Ayub, citadel Ark,  Bolo-Hauz Mosque,  Kalyan complex including Kalyan Mosque, Kalyan Minaret and Mirarab Medressah, Trade domes, Abdulazizkhan and Ulugbek Medressahs, Nadir Devonbegi  Medressah, complex, Lyabi-Khauz complex. Overnight at Hotel.

D-08  BUKHARA-GIJDUVAN (65 km) –NURATA (120 km) –YANGIKAZGAN (70 km)

After breakfast drive to Gijduvan and visit ceramist family. Then drive to Navoi, en route visit the ruins of Rabbat Malik Caravansaray. Then drive to Nurata, a small town near Aydarkul Lake. This place is famous for holy spring “Chashmai Ayub”. According to the old traditions the Alexander the great built a small fortress to watch the enemy from the Northern part: here you can visit ruins of two old castles which dating back to unknown period. Also visit Nurata mosque from eight century. Upon arrival in Yangikazgan, short camel riding within yurt camp (about 10 minutes). Overnight in yurts.

D-09  YANGIKAZGAN-AYDARKUL LAKE (8 km)-SENTYAB/ASRAF VILLAGE (70 km)

After breakfast visit Aydarkul lake, then drive to Sentyab/ Asraf village. Upon arrival guided tour through the village. See building style of the local houses, and watch the traditional livelihood activities of the mountain dwellers, explore the Kardvan valley. Then relax on the tapchan or supa under the walnut trees. Learn livelihood and land use activities. Help or watch to prepare traditional dish. Overnight at local guesthouse.
Meals: Breakfast at Yurts. Lunch at guesthouse. Dinner at guesthouse.

D-10 SENTYAB/ASRAF VILLAGE -SAMARKAND (235 km, 4-5 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Samarkand. PM. Half day city tour of Samarkand. Visit Guri Emir Masoleum, Registan Square. Overnight at Hotel.

Meals: Breakfast at guesthouse.

D-11 SAMARKAND

After breakfast full day city tour of Samarkand. Visit Siyob bazaar, Bibihanym Mosque, Shahi Zinda Necropolis, Ulugbek Observatory, Afrosiyob Museum and ruins. Overnight at Hotel.

Meals: Breakfast at Hotel.

D-12  SAMARKAND-SHAKHRISABZ-TERMEZ (420 km, 7-8 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Termez via Shakhrisabz. Shakhrisabz is birthplace of Great Amir Temur. Visit ruins of Ak Saray Palace, Dorut Saodat complex (Khazratiy Imam Mosque), Jahongir mausoleum, Dorut Tillovat complex: Gumbazi-Seyidon, Kok Gumbaz Mosque. Afternoon continue driving to Termez.  Overnight at Hotel.

D-13  TERMEZ -TASHKENT (by air)

After breakfast full day city tour of Termez. Visit Archelogical Museum, Hakim At Termeziy mausoleum, Zurmala Tower, Fayyoztepa, Kampirtepa. Take evening flight HY-078 (17:55-19:35) to Tashkent (operates on Mondays/Wednesdays). Overnight at Hotel.

D-14 TASHKENT-KOKAND (by train)-RISHTAN(60km)-MARGILAN(30 km) –FERGHANA (15 km)

After breakfast take morning train (08:05-11:57) to Kokand, one of the ancient cities of Uzbekistan located in the western part of Ferhana Valley.  Kokand is considered the second largest religious center after Bukhara in Central Asia, with 35 madrasahs and hundreds of mosques, mainly built during the reign of Khudoyar Khan. Visit famous Khudoyar Khan’s Palace, Juma Mosque and Dahmai Shahon (Grave of Kings). Continue your trip to Rishtan where you will visit ceramist’s family.  Then visit Yodgorlik Silk Factory, local bazaar in Margilan, then drive to Ferghana for check into your hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

D-15  FERGHANA-ANDIJAN (70 km)-TASHKENT(by train)

After breakfast drive to Andijan: visit Jome Mosque and Medressah, local bazaar, Muhammad Zahiriddin Babur’s Masoleum.  After lunch take afternoon train (15:15-20:45) to Tashkent. Overnight at Hotel.

D-16 TASHKENT DEPARTURE

After breakfast transfer to Tashkent International Airport for departure flight to Istanbul by TK-369 departing at 08:15am.

Meals: Early light breakfast at Hotel.
